To get there, take I81 or NY Rte 17 to exit 4S, NY Rte 7S/NY Rte 363W. Turn right at the first light onto Frederick St, then left at the light onto Chenango St, which forks right into West State St. Go one block to the Binghamton Plaza, located left of the Big K Kmart. Book & Magazine Auction: A Paper Bonanza

At auction is the contents of a three-generation bookstore, including ephemera and photographs, bound and unbound magazines, some in sets, and a variety of books, including first editions. Guest Speaker
Bob Connelly will be a guest speaker at the 2004 National Conference of the Appraisers Association of America on Sunday, December 5, 2005 at 3:30 p.m. Bob will talk about Solving the Problems of Appraising Collectibles. Antiques, Collectibles & Ephemera Auction
Bob & Sallie Connelly will auction antiques, collectibles and ephemera at The Showplace on Sunday, November 28, 2004. Section of 1854 Sampler by Cathrine Jones, age 13Click here to view a slideshow of some of the items.Among the highlights of this auction are six early samplers, the most outstanding of which is a 16 X 24 inch needlepoint -- see the detail at left -- done by Cathrine Jones, age 13, in 1854. The sampler depicts Adam and Eve in Paradise threatened by the serpent but protected by angels hovering over the apple tree behind them. Other items include a stoneware pitcher by Whites of Binghamton, a brightly-colored early tole trinket box, a large "Fairy Villa" Staffordshire platter, and several clocks including the Santa Fe model by Ansonia. For the collector of medical quackery there is a penny operated "Electric Treatment" claimed to cure headaches, neuralgia, rheumatism and nervousness.

Bob & Sallie Connelly will auction dolls, bears, doll furniture and related accessories at The Showplace on Sunday, November 7, 2004 at noon (10:00 a.m. preview). The dolls include Mattel Barbie and friends, vinyl from 5 to 28 inches, and some 1,800 dolls from 1950-1980 that will be sold by choice. Appraisal Clinic at Warren Center, PA
Bob & Sallie Connelly will hold an Appraisal Clinic for Antiques, Collectibles, and Decorative ArtsWarren Center Methodist Church, Warren Center, PA on Saturday, November 6, 2004 from 10:00 a.m. to noon to benefit the Warren Center Methodist Church. The Appraisal Fee is $2 per item or three items for $5. Lunch and refreshments will be available. The Clinic will be held at Warren Center Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Warren, PA. Directions: From NY-434 West/Rt 17 West, turn left at the light in Apalachin, NY onto Pennsylvania Avenue (NY CR-601 which becomes PA-858) and proceed to Little Meadows, PA (6.4 miles). Exhibition and Sale of Print Art by Viggo Holm Madsen

The exhibit opens as part of Binghamton's First Friday Art Walk series with a Gala Preview Party on Friday, October 1, 2004 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. featuring harpist Clara Kessler, playing Renaissance and Celtic music. On-site Estate Auction
Bob & Sallie Connelly will auction the estate of Dr. John Andromedas, anthropologist and farmer, on-site at 7558 Rt 79, Itaska (Whitney Point), NY 13862 Empire-style country sofa or couch. on Thursday, October 7, 2004 at 5:00 p.m. (4:00 p.m. preview). A Yale graduate, Dr. Andromedas earned his Ph.D. from Columbia University, where he was an associate of Margaret Meade. He taught at Fordham, worked for the U.S. Army at NATO headquarters, helped set up the Baghdad Museum, and lived in Greece for many years. Appraisal Clinic at Binghamton, NY Flea Market & Car Show
Annual Town of Binghamton Flea Market and Car Show Bob & Sallie Connelly will hold an Appraisal Clinic for Antiques, Collectibles, and Decorative Arts on Saturday, August 28, 2004 from 10:00 a.m. to noon (or until the last item is appraised) as part of the Town of Binghamton's Annual Flea Market and Car Show. Admission to the show, which will raise funds for a memorial in honor of the Town's Veterans, is free. The Appraisal Fee is $2 per item or three items for $5. Bob & Sallie Connelly will hold the Fourth Annual Appraisal Appraisal ClinicLehigh Valley Caboose at the Historic Newark Valley NY Railroad Depot on Saturday, August 21, 2004 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Historic Railroad Depot just off Whig Street in Newark Valley, NY 13811. Admission to this entertaining and educational event is free; the appraisal fee is $5.00 per item, with the proceeds going to benefit the Newark Valley Historical Society. Refreshments available. Picture This: Exhibition and Sale of Corey Brooks Photographs
Join Bob & Sallie Connelly in the new Connelly Gallery at 668 Chenango St, Binghamton, NY 13901-2711 for an exhibition and sale of nearly 700 photographic works by Corey Brooks. Opening days are Friday, July 9, 2004 from 6:00-9:00 p.m as part of Binghamton's First Friday Art Walk and Saturday, July 10, 2004 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. as part of Binghamton's 42nd annual JulyFest activities. The Connelly GalleryThe exhibition and sale will continue during July, weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and at other times by appointment (Telephone: 607-722-9593).

A long-time Vestal resident, now living in the Ideal Senior Living Center in Endicott, Mr. Brooks has been active in photography since 1935, and was a member of the IBM Camera Club. His award-winning photographs, which have been widely displayed in area offices, churches, and municipal agencies, depict greater Binghamton and the Northeast. All are matted and over 150 are framed. Prices range from $1 to $75. Because Mr. Brooks and several family members are cancer survivors, proceeds of the sale will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

Deposit NY Lumber Jack Festival Bob & Sallie Connelly will hold a free Appraisal Clinic for Antiques, Collectibles, and Decorative Arts on Saturday, July 17, 2004 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. as part of 4-day 29th annual Lumberjack Festival and community fund-raiser to be held in Fireman's Park at Deposit, NY 13754. To get to the Festival, take NY Rte 17 to Deposit (exits 81-83) and follow the signs to the center of town. Parking is free. Appraisal Clinic at Waverly's Attic Antique and Collectible Festival
Village of Waverly, NY seal Join Bob & Sallie Connelly on Saturday, July 10, 2004 from noon to 4:00 p.m. at the 7th annual Waverly's Attic Antique and Collectible Festival in Muldoon Park at Waverly, NY 14892. The festival, which offers antiques dealers, artists, craftsmen, live music, an antiques auction and a townwide yard sale, this year is also part of Waverly's 150th anniversary celebration.

Entrance to the festival is free; there is a $3 donation per item (for community organizations) at the Antiques, Collectibles, and Decorative Arts Appraisal Clinic. To get to the Festival, which runs July 9-10, take NY Rte 17 to Waverly (exits 60-61) and follow the signs to the center of town. Benefit Auction
Saturday, March 27, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. (8:30 a.m. preview) at the St. Joseph parish hall. Bob & Sallie Connelly will be auctioning household furnishings, office furniture, oriental rugs, and accessories made available when three First Ward parishes -- St. Ann, St. Joseph, and St. Stanislaus Kostka -- were merged into the new parish of the Church of the Holy Trinity. Everything is being sold without reserve. Food and drink, including a halupki (stuffed cabbage roll) dinner will be available at the auction.

Bob Connelly will be the guest speaker at the March Meeting of the Western NY Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers on Thursday, March 25, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. Bob will talk about Valuing Fine Silver. Collectibles Auction
Sunday, February 8, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. (9:00 a.m. preview) at the Showplace. Bob & Sallie Connelly will be auctioning over fifty-five cookie jars including jars representing a two-face mouse (turn-around), Dutch boys and girls, a clown, friendship, sugar and spice, Mammie, three Santa Clauses, a wishing well, etc. They are also selling a large group of Smalls from several local estates including toys, tools, glassware, Depression themes, pictures and frames, and all kinds of collectibles. This is a short list, but there is a large quantity to be sold.
